No Limits Speech and Language Educational Center

The Center provides an after-school program that services economically disadvantaged children from Los Angeles’ public schools. Many children come to No Limits unable to recite the alphabet, identify sounds, or even say or write their own names. No Limits has incorporated a literacy program focused on teaching children to read in order to assist the public schools in improving children’s reading, writing and academic skills. The academic work is supplemented by a Saturday arts program where children work together in groups singing, dancing, learning poetry and consequently improving socialization and self-esteem.

After 10 weeks, each child makes a graduation speech, which is often their first time speaking in front of an audience.

In addition to No Limits’ core program, the No Limits Speech and Language Educational Center offers:

No Limits Nationwide Theater Program

No Limits produces original plays specifically written for children with a hearing loss who listen and speak. Through theater workshops and professional stage productions, No Limits’ children gain the skills and confidence to succeed in school, interact with their peers and express themselves in their daily lives. No Limits produces 6 to 7 productions each year, from San Diego to New York. We extend the program’s reach even further via No Limits’ Theater Rental Kits.
